The Maker Spot Kick-off Meeting

On Thursday, August 14, members of the Tarrant Makers, local maker volunteers and library staff held the kick-off meeting for The Maker Spot. We discussed our timeline for implementation,  policies and procedures and outreach to the maker community in North Texas. We are excited about moving forward!

I would like to thank and acknowledge the makers and Library staff who have dedicated their time and talents to make The Maker Spot a reality:

Robert Bradbury, Paul Mai and Jason McConnell who introduced the North Richland Hills Library to the maker movement and whose passion inspired us.

Len Avecilla, Robert Bradbury, Jason Haddock and Mary Mathias whose expertise, enthusiasm, creativity, contributions and patience guided us to successfully securing grant funding for our project. Your tireless efforts and joy for making kept our dream alive.

Christine Evans, Michael Spagnuolo and Todd Humble our Library geniuses whose commitment to providing the best and most innovative services to the community make me proud to work with them.

I have no doubt this group of people can make anything happen! Here we go. . .
